CharlieHorse operates under and is bound by the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct adopted by the Technical Communicators Association of New Zealand Inc (TCANZ).

In addition, CharlieHorse undertakes to:

  • Fulfil the audience's need for information and produce information items that are clear, accurate, practical, logical and appropriate.


  • Convey factual information in an objective fashion; avoid distorting facts and misleading people.


  • Respect the dignity of others, strive to be aware of relevant ethical, religious, social, gender and cultural considerations and avoid prejudice.


  • Follow relevant policies, procedures and guidelines provided by the client and transmit their ideas clearly and accurately.


  • Acknowledge the value of collaboration and respect for the knowledge, experience and intellectual property of others.


  • Deliver products and services of a high standard, with every effort made to test and proof information items for accuracy, suitability and usability.
